The CU Succeed program at CCCU establishes a relationship of trust with our members by providing teens with real-world, valuable financial education. The primary components of CU Succeed are:
- Members must be ages 13-18
- Quarterly newsletters
- Bi-annual events
- CU Succeed web site (click on the CU Succeed button above or in the right column)
We hope our members enjoy using this web site and reading about a variety of topics and original teen-written articles, using interactive financial calculators and browsing links to other helpful websites. Members are entitled to write their own articles to submit on the CU Succeed web site and can potentially get published for the quarterly newsletters!
CCCU wants to provide our teen members with fun and interesting activities to stay involved, becoming financially responsible adults. Some ideas we look forward to hosting in the future are: Outings sponsored by CCCU (bowling, raking leaves for elderly, hayrides, etc.), creating a “Teens Advisory Committee” (which will organize CU Succeed outings and provide advice on various services and products for the teen market), and informational seminars to keep our members knowledgeable about specific topics (i.e. savings and checking accounts, loans, credit, budgeting, etc.). The seminars may be set up and lead by our own staff at CCCU or brought in from our community.
Educating our teen members is an important aspect of this program. Loaning them money for their first car or furthering their education will develop a primary financial tie during these prime years and will continue into a long lasting relationship with CCCU. Remember, for advice on all financial items, please feel free to call or come by our Credit Union. After all, we are here for you!
